Received her BA in Theatre and Dance from UC Santa Cruz, her MA in Art from California State University Northridge, and her PhD in Art Education from Penn State. As an educator, she has taught elementary education, dance, and art in Los Angeles Unified Schools and served as an Arts Administrator for the California Arts Project, advocating for the arts in public education. Her research interest involves the investigation of performance as critical pedagogy. She brings ten years in the motion picture industry experience as a union prop-master on productions such as Moonlighting, NYPD Blue, and Doogie Houser, MD. She has worked as a property master, set decorator and contract artist for music videos, television and feature films. She has oversees the property construction and management in Penn State’s School of Theatre’s production schedule and teaches the introduction to theatre design courses.
