Penn State School of Theatre Degree Programs
Undergraduate Degrees:
Penn State School of Theatre has four undergraduate degree programs - Our B.F.A. in Stage Management is a professional training program and was one of the first programs of its kind in the country. The B.F.A. in Design and Technology gives our students a professional course of study and the ability to work with professionals in our Theatre Arts Production Studio. The B.F.A. in Musical Theatre is one of the top programs in the country, and our B.A. degree in Theatre allows students the flexibility to focus in many different areas of theatre. Our B.F.A. programs are designed to help students prepare for direct entry into the professional world or graduate school. Those accepted into our B.F.A. programs embark on a rigorous four-year course of specialized study.
Penn State also provides students with the opportunity to attain a broad-based liberal arts education. All Penn State students take classes in arts, humanities, social and behavioral sciences, natural science, writing/speaking, health and physical activity, and quantification to fulfill the General Education requirements.

Master of Fine Arts Program
The School of Theatre at Penn State offers graduate training in acting, design and directing. All graduate students in theate spend a five week summer
