Penn State School of Theatre offers four undergraduate degree programs, a Master of Fine Arts graduate program and a minor in theatre. Our programs are designed to help students prepare for direct entry in the professional world or graduate school.
Penn State also provides students with the opportunity to attain a broad-based liberal arts education. All Penn State students take classes in arts, humanities, social and behavioral sciences, natural science, writing/speaking, health and physical activity, and quantification to fulfill the General Education requirements.
Penn State's BFA program has the largest student chapter in USITT and takes a group of students to the annual conference every year with financial support from UPAC and the School of Theatre. They also perform outreach services for local high schools by holding a yearly conference on our campus where our students teach dozens of high school designers and technicians new skills in design and technology in our shops and theatres.
