Kristi Dana is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Voice and Speech in the Theatre Department at Penn State University (AY 2017–2018). For the 2016–2017 academic year, Kristi served as the Interim Head of MFA Acting at Brooklyn College and taught graduate Voice and Speech. Prior to her appointment at Brooklyn College, Kristi taught at Long Island University, Post, The College of Staten Island and The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Kristi holds a certification in Knight-Thompson Speechwork, a Certificate of Completion from the Michael Chekhov Association and is a Miller Voice Method teacher. She recently served a two-year term as an officer with the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA), acting as the Conference Planner for the VASTA Focus Group at the Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE) Conference. From 2016 - 2017, she was one of VASTA’s two Early Career Leadership Initiative Awardees.  Kristi has published in the Voice and Speech Review and presented her work at the 2013, 2015 and 2016 Voice and Speech Trainers Association Conferences and the 2016 Association for Theatre in Higher Education Conference. Kristi holds an MFA in Acting from Brooklyn College, an MA in Theatre Education from Emerson College, and BA in Theatre Arts from Penn State University.
